Asia is the fastest growing telecom market, with annual growth rates in excess of 30% across the region.

The phenomenal pace of telecom growth in Asia is largely concentrated in China, India, Vietnam and Cambodia – countries billed as the ‘next wave of emerging prepaid markets’.

Acquisition maybe more straightforward for this segment but prepaid users are notoriously price sensitive – more than $100 million is spent on retention annually yet churn rates are as high as 10%! Consumers have high expectations and their thrifty usage contributes to low ARPU and diminishing customer profitability.
